Bexholt - Cotton Blend Straight Leg Chinos
Straight leg chinos in a cotton blend twill, with belt loops, slant front pockets and two button-through pockets at the back.
A chino is bought once and worn until it goes. What decides how long that takes is almost never the cloth — it is the seat seam and the pocket bags, which is where a cheap pair opens first.
Why these chinos?
- Reinforced seat seam: double stitched where the strain sits, which is the seam that fails first on a cheaper pair.
- Cotton twill: the diagonal weave puts more yarn on the surface and takes the abrasion before the ground cloth does.
- Slant front pockets: cut on the angle the hand already takes, with a deep bag that holds a wallet flat.
- Straight leg: unchanged in width from the knee, so the trouser sits on the shoe rather than breaking over it.
- Seven belt loops: wide enough for a proper belt, including one at the centre back.
Ideal for:
Men who want one trouser for the office, the pub and the weekend, and would rather not think about it again. They take a shirt and a sweater equally well.
How do they fit at the waist?
To the waist measurement in inches on the label. Between two sizes take the smaller — the elastane gives about half a size.
Do they shrink?
The cloth is pre-shrunk before cutting. Cold washing and line drying holds the leg length.
Can they take a crease?
Yes. Twill holds a pressed line if you want one, and drops it in the wash if you do not.
