Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Joel Seattle collects, uses, shares and protects personal information about customers in the United States. It is written to meet the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA) and the comparable consumer privacy laws of the other US states that have them.
Who is responsible
Trading name: Joel Seattle
Legal entity: Takeover Enterprises LLC
Registered address: 30 N Gould St Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA
Email: takeoverenterprises785@gmail.com
Takeover Enterprises LLC is the business responsible for the personal information collected through this website. We sell online only, to customers in the United States.
What we collect
- Identifiers and contact details: your name, shipping address, billing address, email address and, if you give it, a phone number for the carrier.
- Commercial information: what you bought, what you returned, refunds, and the messages you exchange with us.
- Payment information: your payment is processed by the payment providers available at checkout. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and a masked reference. We never see or store your full card number.
- Internet and device activity: IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed and similar usage data collected through cookies and similar technologies.
- Inferences drawn from the above, used only to decide which products and offers to show you.
We do not ask for and do not want sensitive personal information — Social Security number, driver's license number, precise geolocation, health, racial or ethnic origin, religious belief, union membership, or the contents of your private messages. Please do not send any of it to us. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
Why we collect it
To take and fulfill your order, arrange delivery, process returns and refunds, answer your messages, keep accounting and tax records, prevent fraud and abuse, measure our advertising and improve the website. We do not use your information for a materially different purpose without telling you first.
Who we share it with
Only the categories of recipient we need in order to do the things above:
- Shopify, which hosts this store and processes orders on our behalf.
- The payment providers offered at checkout, which process your payment and run their own fraud and anti-money-laundering checks.
- Our fulfillment partner and the carriers that dispatch and deliver your parcel. They receive your name, shipping address and, where the carrier requires it, your phone number — for addressing and dispatching your parcel and nothing else.
- Our email, support and analytics providers.
- Advertising platforms (for example Google and Meta), which receive pseudonymous event and conversion data where you have allowed advertising cookies.
- Professional advisers, and government or law enforcement bodies where the law requires or permits it.
We do not sell your personal information
We have not sold personal information for money in the preceding 12 months, and we will not. We do share pseudonymous advertising identifiers with advertising platforms for cross-context behavioral advertising where you allow advertising cookies — which the CCPA treats as "sharing", and some state laws as "targeted advertising". You can stop it at any time: see "Opt out" below.
Where your information goes
Your personal information is stored on, and disclosed to, servers and parties located outside your state and in some cases outside the United States. The countries currently involved are the United States (Takeover Enterprises LLC itself, and our email and analytics providers), Canada (Shopify Inc., which operates our store platform), mainland China (the warehouse of our fulfillment partner), and any other country where a payment provider you choose at checkout processes transactions. We give each of them only the minimum information they need, under contract.
Your rights
Wherever you live in the United States, we will honor these requests:
- Know and access — ask what personal information we hold about you, where it came from, why we have it, who we shared it with, and get a copy of it.
- Delete — ask us to delete personal information we hold about you. We may keep what accounting, tax or fraud-prevention law requires us to keep, and we will tell you what we kept and why.
- Correct — ask us to fix personal information that is wrong or out of date.
- Opt out of targeted advertising and of any sharing of your information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- Portability — receive your information in a portable, machine-readable format.
- No retaliation — we will never deny you service, charge you a different price or give you a lower quality of service because you exercised a privacy right.
How to make a request
Email takeoverenterprises785@gmail.com with "Privacy request" in the subject line and tell us which right you are exercising. We confirm receipt within 10 business days and answer within 45 calendar days; if we need longer we will tell you inside that period and take no more than 90 days in total. To stop advertising cookies, use the cookie controls in your browser, enable Global Privacy Control, or email us and we will apply the opt-out at our end. An authorized agent may make a request on your behalf with written permission from you, and we may still ask you to confirm it directly.
How we verify you
We match the email address and order details you give us against our records. We do not ask for a government ID. If we cannot verify that a request is really yours, we will tell you why and we will not act on it, because acting on an unverified request is itself a privacy risk.
California: Shine the Light and Do Not Track
California Civil Code § 1798.83 lets California residents ask once a year for a list of the third parties to whom we disclosed personal information for their own direct marketing. We disclose nothing for that purpose, so the list is empty. We honor the Global Privacy Control signal; we do not respond to older browser "Do Not Track" headers, which have no agreed meaning.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies that are strictly necessary to make the shop work — keeping your cart, keeping you signed in, and security. We also use analytics cookies and, where you allow them, advertising cookies that help us measure our advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; if you block the necessary ones, checkout will not work.
How long we keep it
Order, payment and tax records for as long as accounting and tax law requires. Support correspondence while it may still be relevant to your order or a return. Marketing contact details until you unsubscribe. Website analytics for no more than 26 months.
Marketing email
We send marketing email only where you asked for it or where you bought from us and would reasonably expect it. Every marketing email carries a working unsubscribe link and our postal identification, as the CAN-SPAM Act requires, and we act on an unsubscribe within 10 business days at the latest — usually immediately.
Automated decision-making
Our store platform and payment providers apply automated fraud-risk scoring to orders. We do not cancel or refuse an order on the strength of that score alone — a person looks at the order first. We do not profile you in a way that produces legal effects or similarly significant effects for you.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information: encrypted connections to the website, access limited to the people who need it, and providers chosen for their security practices. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. We delete or de-identify personal information when we no longer need it and no law requires us to keep it.
Privacy complaints
If you think we have mishandled your personal information, tell us first. Email takeoverenterprises785@gmail.com with "Privacy complaint" in the subject line. We acknowledge within 5 business days and give you a written answer within 45 days. If you are not satisfied, California residents can complain to the California Privacy Protection Agency at cppa.ca.gov or to the California Attorney General at oag.ca.gov; residents of other states can complain to their state Attorney General; and anyone can report us to the Federal Trade Commission at reportfraud.ftc.gov.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. The current version is always on this page with the date below.
